so, i went to home depot (hate the store, only for the corian) and picked up a pair of $9.99 heavy duty work gloves and some industrial strength velcro, the total was 19.50, not too shabby. I asked the clerk for some corian samples, and i guess there aren't any sliders in my town, as he just turned me loose in the corian drawer, with my gloves and velcro in my hands. After a short assembly, my new gloves are really nice, totally worth the 20 bucks.

I was JUST at home depot and I think I picked up the exact same gloves and industrial velcro. How did you stick the velcro to the glove? Did it just stay with the adhesive that was on the backing? Now that you've had them for a bit are they working out?
Also I was only able to get 7 samples (2x2) from the lady working there before she started to look annoyed. Any one have tips on "corian puck" configurations?
I may go out to lowes on the opposite side of town and try and grab more.
