I've got an extra skateboard and I was wondering if it would be possible to use that to start out so that all I have to do is make gloves and buy elbow pads. You guys said anything's slideable but I just want to double check. The specs are:
Mini logo deck - 7.75 x 31.75
Bullet Trucks
Bullet wheels - 51 mm / 101a
and I'm 5' 6 and 114 lbs so I'm pretty small. Is this okay just to start with?

I just started sliding and it took me about 4 days to be able to do it on command, well just the colman. I am 5' 4", 130 lbs with a
40" madrid pin missile deck
randall 180 trucks
81a lime 70mm zigzags
it should be really easy with your setup compared to mine.
just keep all of your weight on your slide gloves perform it at your top speed on level ground and it will slide.
the only reason I wanted to learned how to slide is so I can stop.
wear a helmet. I don't have the toe side slide down yet. I failed to take the weight off my board and put it on my hands. My board just stuck when i turned it side ways and I scraped up my whole back and if I wasn't wearing my helmet I would have had a concussion, but I was and I didn't even end up with a head ache.
