LDP on a superglider
i've been experimenting on my superglider for LDP, lately...it seems to work well, but you gotta get it tweaked JUST right, to make any progress. my setup is 149mm rts/x wedged/dewedged 5* (plus the few degrees of built-in wedging on the front), 76mm superballs, rock'n'rons skyrockets...for bushings, up front i have a lime barrel/lemon conical, out back i have a yellow b!tch bottom, yellow bones hardcore top.
foot placement is KEY. i keep my front foot right at the back of the mounting hardware; in fact, i'm considering the thought of putting a toestop on the back right mounting bolt. my rear foot is about 4" in front of the rear truck, right where the deck is tapering back.
one thing i noticed, is that pumping a superglider requires a short, hard, bouncy pump. not a quick, slalom-style pump; not a long, relaxed "LDP" pump...but you really gotta dig into the deck, and really make it quick, and really BOUNCE into the pumps.
the superglider really isn't a LDP deck, but if you get it tweaked just right, you can make it work. like i said, i'm working out how to put a toestop on the back right mounting bolt, and i might even recommend using 66mm superballs instead...the smaller mass will let you pick up speed faster.
