If you want some decent hills, I suggest coming over here to Bellevue when you get here.
The areas along the Missouri River have fast, short runs with some pushing in between.
There's actually some insanely gnarly hills where I've been skating lately. It's just down the street from my house! But I've been too scared of the hills until now. My skill level's finally reached the point where I can survive. Knowing how to pendy and foot brake at 30+ is a must for most of this place. And you can't be scared of rough roads either. My co-worker and I take turns spotting for each other down the blind turns.
The place is called Fontenelle Hills. Insane runs.
People from out of state (and in-state for that matter) would never believe they were in Nebraska if they saw this place.
So stoked, but it always happens like this. I have to leave right when I start skating in a new spot. Oh well, something to really look forward to when I get back. And inspiration for me to do some hardcore wall-sits, squats, running, and various weight-training while I'm deployed.
Welcome to Nebraska! when you get here.
