Kracked skulls is a great first board for cruizing and some hills... Tricks it wont be ideal for as it has no kick tail... But its possible, tons of people do tricks on there loaded's...

A mountain board will not be good on a regular road for cruizing, if you get one id use it for what its maid for.

Flowboard is fun from what I have read, however it is slow, and I would definitely try before you buy.
