flowboards are novelty items that imo that lose their fun very quickly, they are slow, not fun to push and i dunno, just slow and boring.

Mountainboards are a pain to push around (sorta) they are very bulky and have bindings and really not meant for cement.

KS are awesome boards, especially for a beginner, from what you said I would get a ks (it's also like $300 cheaper).

That said, I wouldn't necessary rule out mountain boarding as something to get into. I tried it twice and it was super fun even though I got somewhat messed up. It's something meant for dirt though, not cruising around.
