Coast riding is your best bet for scenic/just fun riding.

So your gonna skate 50 miles a day with a huge backpack with all of your stuff? Have you tried pushing with 50 lbs on your back yet? Might have to look into some training.

Guys on hiking the Pacific Crest Trail mail themselves supplies at every post office along their route. You might want to look into this, unless you plan on having a car trail you the whole way.
