i do agree with you guys, helmets are a big must. especially if your crossing the street or just skating. but in my eyes, this is more of the kid just not thinking. the report says he veered off the sidewalk into the street. not in a crosswalk or a marked zone. if he had stopped and looked around for cars this wouldn't of happened. and yes, a helmet would have helped. but i see this involving more common sense than anything else. thats all
