I created those features, and it's what set this truck design apart from the rest. Period. I also incorporate eliptical bushing seat cutouts, pivot spacers, stepped kingpins and basplates of my own design. PVD, Original, Billet, and others have fixed pivot trucks with but use different bushing and spring systems to tighten them.
I have no idea what Big80 and Dubes would have to say about me making big wheels. Maybe "Thank You Chris"? I first made DoubleWide 83mm x 78mm wheels over 4 years ago and raced them in Montreal. Momos have been around since February of 2006 (over 3 years ago). I've helped pave the way for others to make big wheels by expanding the market, competing on them and showing their viability. It costs me tens of thousands of dollars to tool up and make a single run of each wheel. I'm putting my wheels under guys who can use them. Bricin, K-Rimes, Barker, Martin, Mischo and I have Momos. Why should anyone have a problem with that?
I am constantly evolving and developing my products. I routinely obsolesce my own stuff before I even get tooled up to produce it. Why put something out on the market when I already have something designed that is even better than the original product? There are enough products out there with design flaws as it is. You'll see my stuff produced when it's right, and not until. It is my fault for putting out release dates and then not making them. I am responsible for that and I own that. I'm learning not to say anything until I have product in my hot little hands. Live and learn.
Expect good things. Be patient. There's only one of me and these things take time!
wow amazingly put...we kinda take it for granted sometimes how much work and money it takes to produce quality products. Thanks for your hard work, can't wait for those 83mm x 78mm Centrax!

Re: Abec 11 Updates
Oops.... the thread got away from me.....sorry!!!
Here are a couple fun random tidbits:
1. The weekend before the 4th of July, Chaput (and Mischo) were spotted at a kid's bday party...as the entertainment! HA! Rumored to be the most interactive kids party anyone had ever been to! 8)
2. The 4th of July started with Mischo winning 1st at an outlaw race at GMR!! Congrats to the Man in Black (again!)....and yes he was on wet/dry centrax wheels
3. Also on the 4th......a float entry for the Tiger Cubs (the youngest of the Boy Scouts) was decorated with Hamboards and GREEN wheels (took everyone at Abec 11 by surprise....was a Hamborg doing!!).....took 3rd place in the HB Parade!!
4. Chaput cant be at the Slalom Nationals this next weekend in Colorado but is helping to sponsor the event with cash and product!
5. Part of the reason he cant be there is he is hosting a summer BBQ for family and friends, including Michael Brooke and other fun industry people!
6. He also cant be in France this next weekend (but Mischo, ScooT and Martin sure will!), but he is stoking out the racers like he did in Vernon with his new Reflex bushings!
7. This next weekend is also the Maloof Money Cup ....and many thanks to all of you who voted for Chaput's first vert rider, Dakota White, who won the voting contest to get a trip out to participate in it! The kid is amazing and will be rockin subLIME wheels!
8. He IS title sponsor again this year of Maryhill and is really looking forward to it!
9. A couple different racers have stopped in at the shop and Chaput LOVES to give the tour....new visitors are always like kids in a candy shop and he loves to play The Candy Man!
10. if you ever swing by, one of Chris' favorite sandwiches is a hot pastrami!!!

What does he put on his hot pastrami? I'm a mustard man, but sometimes if I'm feeling randy I put mayo.
Any news on release dates for products?

That is a bastardized reuben. Which you need a dill pickle wedge for correct consumption. And salt and vinegar chips as a side. That is New England Style.
Have you ever tried mayo on hot pastrami? Now I admit I haven't had it that way since high school, but in 2000 I would skip for joy to the cafetorium on hot pastrami day.
