i live like 10 minutes away from sk8trips address on their site. Was hoping i could pick them up in person or something. And now im afriad i got the wrong bushings lol. oh well, the wheels are the important part!

My beautiful Ambers arrived yesterday in Australia. Gotta love that Chris, full set of pink reflexs' and stickers. Thanks Chris, you are an open honest businessman, so the rest of you whingers just FSU and be patient, your wheels will arrive and when they do, thank the Mad Prof. it's people like him who help progress the sport.

I got to actualy GO to longboard Mecca on tuesday. Yup, i got to pick up my wheels from Abec11 HQ.

Sara the receptionist i assume was uber-cool, and my brand new amber wheels were waiting for me in a box; complimented with a fine assortment of the bushings i wanted. Oh, and did i mention i got 2 FREE lime bushings, 2 concrete waves, and some stickers (in addition to my cool washers)?!

I had a few questions about the bushings, and sara led me to the back room real quick to get some. I saw so many cool things its not even funny. Some sick new wheels too, that no bodie's even talking about (no im not gonna tell lol)!!! I was so happy. I got some quick pics by the abec11 trucks too! It was like a green ice cream truck of dreams.

I left...and then realised i wanted more stickers! I ran in, gave sara $5 and asked if i could get two or three stickers. She said sure...and came back with a roll of abec11 stickers and gave my money back. And then i saw chris...ZOMG!!!

Needless to say, i lost all self respect and pride, and couldnt've been happier. I meant to ask if i could work for below minimum wage hauling carts and doing dirty work during the summer but forgot in my euphoria.

only question...i cant get those sexy slide marks i wanted! Do i just need to wear them in more? Ive been sliding/riding them for a day and a half. Am i too light? I weigh like 135...Im hoping theyre just not worn in all the way.

harder to break in (72mm 84a) than flys (83mm 81a), but the slide is smoother and quieter.

The opportunity of a lifetime sounds cool, but I'd be much more happy if you just please keep the promises you've already made....

The 83mm version is like a "Momo Light" which uses the same footprint, but has a smaller core and more flexible lips. It's taller, wider, heavier, stickier, but may be too much wheel for the average Joe. The 83's will be released well after the 77's, but both before this season is over.

well here are some very lightly used backup bushings. i cleaned the off for you

(sorry for the poor pic quality. cell phone did it.)

you can see that my orange reflex is like a half a mm off of the bennett, and no were near the lemon reflex. weird, but really nice! i kind of feel like "what luck! there are perfect!" i should shim them just because they are softer and under pressure do have a higher load compression than the stock ones. i really want to order a few more and see if they will come this big, so i can hourglass those for my LDP. i just really want to bushing mod, but dont want to to the equivalent of trimming a tracker stim.

I'm digging the green/pink juicy reflex barrels for LDP. I took a small Kiro cone and sanded it down a bit, then slid it under the barrel to get the height equal to the Bennett bushing. Works great.
