Re: Abec 11 Updates
Hey Chris, just wanted to say I love your products. I also have two questions
1. I heard you're not going to make Reflexes compatiable with regular trucks anymore? Whats this all about?
2. When are the Centraxes comin out for retail sale?
Thanks.

Re: Abec 11 Updates
Chris. more questions, 1) When and where can I buy Fyre trucks. 2) Did you ever skate Londons' Southbank in the late 70's? I seem to remember a Chapstick being stolen one day from a pro, during a break from a demo, it was recovered by a friend of mine, who i think was the original thief btw, but just knew he'd never get away with it!!!

looking at all of the pictures it seems like all of the rider-weight load is put directly onto the spherical bearings and the two queen pins (correct terminology?)
even if the ride doesn't feel like it rides really harsh, are the "queenpins" in fact subject to significant stress? if so, what is the risk of either of them breaking?
Consider the following:
1. There are two axle tips coming out of a cast aluminum hanger on 99% of every skateboard truck on the planet and each is made of relatively soft steel and is 5/16" in diameter.
2. There are two pivot pins coming out of a billet aluminum baseplate on every Fyre Truck and each is made out of a super strong steel material and is 5/16" in diameter.
In other words, skateboard trucks are already using 5/16" steel threaded studs without any structural problems and so no, the pivot pins are very strong and can handle the loads well.

The molds are done and Altered Electric Skateboards will be placing an initial order in about a month and with 30 day lead times it could be as early as the new year ...

I have diagrams and pictures of Fyre Trucks but nothing yet that really explains how they work. I'll see if can figure out how to do a Solidworks Animation and/or make a little YouTube video that shows how the truck steers and how the floating kingpin functions ... "in all my spare time"

Re: Abec 11 Updates
Reflys are great, actually. Great slide, more durable. As long as the price was reasonable, they'd be great all-around wheels.
