My current speedboard has a 32.5 wheel base. Later on I'm thinking about getting another with either a 33.5 or 35.5. Whats a good baseplate combination for these boards? Would a 40/20 give me straight line stability while still allowing me to make hard turns or would my outside rear wheel want to lift up? All the boards have horizontal mounting surfaces.
Thanks Chris.

Re: Abec 11 Updates
Straight line abilities and things like that are way more skill based than gear not to mention that on top of that its all entirely personal preference. If your wheel is lifting in a turn thats not really your truck angle as much as it your bushings being fully compressed so you can really tune that out of any truck by different bushings/how much you tighten up the truck. I'm pretty sure Chris can't tell you what you like to ride, its your preference not his.

Re: Abec 11 Updates
I just thought baseplate angle played a role as much bushings. My bad. But if it's all skill based, I'd love to see someone bomb a hill with two 60 degree base plates on a slalom board with soft bushings. Maybe even throw in some ceramic bearings and 97mm Flywheels (haha) for good measure.

don't forget wheelbase also plays a big part. some have gone 60+ on paris' with soft bushings, but a 32" wb. and zak and joel were hitting mary on slalom setups.

is this true, and if so - it's a damn shame, and any idea as to when this change slated to occur?

yeah in an extreme case like that sure , but you were asking about precision trucks specifically designed for downhill. Any of those trucks will be entirely capable of any riding youll be able to do.

I've heard this too. I'd like to know if it's true as well.

Re: Abec 11 Updates
and its not like Chris is making the bushings smaller. he is making them bigger, so you can always sand, cut, lathe, whatever to make them fit. think of them as momo bushings.

So depending on skill and bushings, during a fast hairpin, a 50/10 has the same chance of lifting up the back outside wheel as a 50/30 or 50/40? I'm not arguing, I'm just curious on how it works.

I have a set of 90mm reflex flys I'd part with but it would cost ya.

Can anybody tell me where they are available? Also if there is no possibility for international customers to aquire a set would anyone be interessted in getting a set for me and shipping them to switzerland? I'd pay an extra 20 USD for your troubles in addition to the cost for the trucks and shipping.
