i doubt the 10mm bearings will be made. 10mm is used for added durability of an axle, chaput's using already strong material so no need for an extra 2mm. but what do i know about the mad scientists plans

Re: Abec 11 Updates
My first idea of what these might feel like is something like a Seismic adapted for bushings.
The super tight fixed angle is what gives Seismics that precise feel, and it's the same thing that's going on in Fyres.
Am I close?

Re: Abec 11 Updates
Another question. How tall are these in comparison to other trucks on the market. Say Kahalani?

precise feel of seismic trucks? in my experience seismics fight you when you turn/lean and rebound way too hard (or not at all depending on springs loads). fyres will have a great lean and the rebound will come from the bushings and have a different feel than seismics.
fyres will turn differently than seismics and probably feel more like a randal style truck, but much smoother.

I heard Fyres are made from pluzonium alloy and have unobtanium king pins...
Nasa has certified the Pro-E cad models and smithsonian wants a set for the archives!
Other than that I bet you could rip a sesh at Tuna for the need to destroy a set of flashbacks in 2 runs

No. I have ridden both Seismics and slalom Fyres extensively. Fyres have a fully supported pivot axis on two small, precise heim joints. Seismics have a cantilevered pivot with a huge frictiony interface surface. Fyres have a smooth compression/return which affords much subtlety and is easily tweaked. Seismics have single-minded springs that often don't want to do what you want them to. My opinion is that there are few if any similarities between the trucks.

Almost forgot to mention that Raggie will be trying out some of the new Classic Formula BigZigs. He LOVES the Classic FreeRides, and now he's got some 78a and 81a BigZigs to take out to GMR and Tuna ...

Re: Abec 11 Updates
any recommendations on baseplate angles? 40*/20* sounds amazing
and in general, would you tend to use softer bushings since the bottom bushings no longer carry the rider's weight?

Re: Abec 11 Updates
The 81a Amber urethane in the Classic Freerides is just sick! Wears fast but the predictableness(that must be a new word) of grip/slide is awesome. Smooth, ninja silent, and the yellow streaks are über cool. I´ll be all over amber Bigzigs.

After seeing what I assume to be a stack of 89a Retro reflex freerides, is it possible you'll release them at some point?
Thanks in advance
