hey anyone ride in dubai or around the UAE? just wondering cos im here for a month before i move to Brisbane...all ive seen so far are little kid short boarders...

Went of a little scouting mission this morning to Jebel Hafeet. Got there & realised that leathers & nuts will be required.Its a 9 km monster with 1 traffic lane down & 2 lanes up with concrete jersey barriers on each side.Plenty of parking all the way up.With a Mericure hotel almost at the top & a large parking lot with caffeteria.The view is spectacular U.A.E on one side & you can see Oman on the other

I lived in Saudi Arabia for 12 years and so im going to have to agree with Alpha06...Arab drivers are freaking insane! About as worse as Idaho drivers.

On a board or a luge, the driver coming down at 120mph is gonna think your just roadkill.

guys anyone here in dubai or other parts of uae? im looking for some skateshops that have all the items for longboards!!!! theres some shops but the stuff are mostly for skateboard. . . . cant find any shop!!! need help pls uae guys out there?

Yeah same... i have the same problem. at the moment i am riding an Ed Hardy longboard. its a pretty good board but very basic. i have heard about a shop in JBR (Jumeriah Beach Residence) that sell pretty good longboards if anyone is looking for one

but there is no great longboarding destinations in dubai

i have been living here for six years and havnt found a great place. And Arab drives are mental lol

I have been looking to buy the Comet Flying Spaggeti Monster board of a site in the Uk. Does anyone know if it is a great board for long distance, freestyle ( tricks) and sliding??

yup i have heard that shop in jbr and i found out that they are selling landyachtz longboards. . . .its so hard to find a good place here in dubai coz most of the sidewalk here are bricks if you will go to the road maybe some local will kill you bcoz of the way they drive . . .but if you want to go for cruising you can visit jumeirah open beach.....

Hi, I'm from Dubai...
Beach Hut (now Beach St. I guess...) ant the end of The Walk (in front of the Dubai Marina Sheraton) sells LY, Loaded, Bustins... and parts.
I have seen LY in Adventure HQ (Sheikh Zayed Rd - Times Square Mall) and at Dubai Surf Shop (behind Mall of Emirates).
Best place to ride is Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain, locals meet every Wednesday in Mushrif Park (follow Airport Rd past the airport and across E311, then will see signs to the park...).
