...after I put the pop-stick between his teeth (to avoid damage), protect my hand with the towel and knock out his teeth with the back of the screwdriver (or pry them out if I have to), only to use the duct tape to stick the teeth on just so I don't lose them.
That would surely cure me from dendropophobia, knowing that I now have a spare set of teeth.
