I agree with you there, kinda. Humans are made to eat meat. Just look at our teeth.

But in society today there is plenty of ways to get the nutrition you need without eating meat. And there is no need to breed animals the way food companies do.

I stated that it doesn't harm me not to eat them, so why shouldn't I respect them?

Those worms you talk of, don't have a choice: they have to eat corpses in order to live, so they don't have to respect those.

Cats are just brutal animals, they are among the only animals that kill for fun.
Other animals only kill for food (or selfdefence).
