How so?
It doesn't look very fast at all, and has nearly 380 HP V8.
By the way, I'm 18, so I don't have loads of money for a car, so this is kind of bottom-of-the-barrel, plus, I don't want to get into modifications at the moment.

Since when do 300Cs have nearly 400hp? Even if they do they're so big and heavy that I bet even a Civic can beat one in anytaing other than a straight line.

The Chrysler 300C. Base 300 has a crappy V6.
The 300C has a 350+ 5.7 liter Hemi.
The 300 SRT8 (Too expensive) has 425 HP from a 6.1 liter Hemi.

If you're looking for a cheap(ish) sleeper, maybe try a mk4 gti, or a GNX, or a taurus SHO, or a forester 2.5xt.

Good call on the XT. The only "problem" I can see with that though is that anyone with half a brain who can see the scoop will know that it is not a run of the mill SUV.

my friend sold me a 74 260z for 250 bucks because he had it sitting for awhile and didnt realize the only reason it wouldnt start was the battery was dead.

im thinking about replacing the stock straight 6 with a twin turbo vg30

should do the swap or just rebuild the stock L26

?

Either way I would much rather have the Charger than the 300C. But I dunno, I guess it really depends on your taste and price range, and what type of car you want.

Personally I would just work on the L26, or swap for a SR20 or RB series, but I haven't heard much about the VG30 so I couldn't give you much advice there. I think that I have really fallen in love with the old Datsun Zs. I think if I was going to get back into older cars, that is what I would buy.

Also lately I've been really wanting to follow my childhood dream of buying a MKIV Supra or a 3rd gen RX7. I may have to pull the trigger within the next year.

But good news everyone, my coilovers have been ordered, engine mods have been ordered, exterior mods are on the car. In the next week or 2 I will post pictures and a video of the new and improved beast.

Not mine, because I don't own it anymore. But these guys are sweet sleepers. Swedish hatchbacks with the stigma of liberal middle aged women driving them around. But in reality, they have a turbo I4 and are super light weight, handle like a dream, and are a blast to drive. You will beat many unsuspecting drivers in their riced out hondas or american muscle cars driving one of these babies.

+1 on the Saabs. I've wanted a late 80's early 90's 900 turbo for a while. Black on black convertible would be boss.

Coilovers will be here Friday, TBE, AccessPort and swaybar will be here Monday. Not sure when the rear lamp overlay kit will be here.

Painted the front grill, exhaust finishers, and side decals black so once I debadge the car there will be no more chrome left.

So pumped!

Come on, lets bring this thread back to life.

Hopefully everything works out this weekend. Going catless stage 2 on coilovers and swaybars and a decent amount of small cosmetic mods.

Ooowwww coilovers. I know a guy who put them in his JDM WRX and it HURTS to go over even the smallest bumps!

And to keep this thread going on my personal side of things, I *THINK* I finally found the culprit problem for why the front right tire was shaking so violently at about 100k. The culprit tire seems to be cambered in juuusssttt a hair. It's enough that at quick glance, everything looks ok, but upon closer inspection, you can see that's not quite right. Hopefully once Subaru fixes the recall issue on the Impreza's, I will get that looked at...
