    Exclamation Eco-friendly urethane manufacturing

I came across an interesting article today describing some work being done to find catalysts used in the manufacture of urethane which replace chlorine with oxygen. Quite an interesting read for the science heads, and 'green' wheel makers out there, pun not intended ^_^

Too bad their magic catalyst utilizes gold and titanium, two of the most expensive metals...

Almost all gold mining techniques are quite "dirty" environmentally.

i cannot deny there are some operations that are not "eco-friendly"..

however to say 'almost all' gold mining techniques is an extreme exaggeration. most current miners are quite mindful of the environment and whats 'friendly' and 'unfriendly'
