^^^^^well there death traps. if you get in the slightest fender bender you will ceirtainy die because of its lack of crumple zone.

I have loved both of my buses, but they are slow if they are stock and they are kind of a different driving experience. I wouldnt say they are death traps, but they certainly would not hold up to todays safety standards and such. I love how you can just pack all ofyour friends and skate stuff up and go. They are great cars and I wouldnt drive anything else really. Except a type 3 cause they are just awesome.

bought a 1999 passat wagon this spring. 5spd navy blue 100,000 on a 1.8t. i love it! debadged and blacked out the front emblem, hopefully i can lower it and put on some porsche twists in gunmetal...

very nice dude! I want to get one of those and paint it flat black with black rims, lower it a bit, and tint the windows. Tune it up along the way also 8)

well im speaking for myself here but i havnt owned a car technically yet and i do work on cars in my auto shop in school plus my dad helps me out and knows everything that I dont know, im rebuilding my dad's old '68 bug with him and we are doing ALL the work ourselves

I sold my bug a week ago, here is what the guy has already done to it.

The body was already that ugly, but he lowered it.

I've got one, bought it new last year.
It just returned form it's second paint-job in 3 months, some drunk kid scratched it's whole left side this time...
