BIG Decision.

I have found that when i longboard it makes me very happy when im bombing a hill or what not and my t-shirt flaps in the wind. So i think i will buy a cape. A cape would flap in the wind and make me feel more like a super hero, so itseems like a good idea. However it would also hinder in wind resistance and slow me down or if i get low and turn or something there is a possibility of the cape being caught in a wheel and me eating pavement.

What do you think of wearing a cape while longboarding?

How is this a big decision? If you want the cape, buy it. Or make one, that may be cheaper. Maybe keep it at most waist length as well.

id say attach it with Velcro to shoulders, or tie it around shoulders instead of neck. In case it gets stuck on something you won't be dragged off your board by your neck.

crass is an amazing band.. and yes capes are pretty sweet.. but if you get a cape you should just go ahead and get a bunny or bear suite in place of leathers.. now thatd be sick. i was thinking of getting a helmet for holes for my mohawk haha.

I tried to wear a Matrix trenchcoat that I bought at St. Vincent De Paul while skating. It caught my wheels and I got chucked. You gotta have a short cape if you're gonna have a cape at all.

That said, capes are sweet.

Well thank you all for your amazing feedback... I was thinking an old school batman or superman cape. The purple satin is tempting but I think I'll stick with with a not so prince look

Be wary of typical trends. Superwoman's cape is waist length. Superman's is ankle length. What look are you going for here?
