Take all the chauvinism, excess, and braggartly nature of "game" rap and filter it through an intelligent MC who always has his tongue in his cheek and an amazing DJ on the turntable. You've never heard a more hardcore rap album in your life, and it's 4 discs and 70-something songs long. He takes the same gun that 50 Cent and the like shoot with, and turns it back on them. Celph is one of my favorite performers, along with Busdriver, Aesop Rock, Imo Tech and Saul Williams.

But I cannot believe you put NWA in the same list as Eminem. Eminem does not compare to NWA and he never will. Sure, Eminem has a couple good songs (mosh, white america), but in my mind he does not posses the talent and ability of NWA. And record sales do not, in my opinion, make someone the 'best rapper of all time'. To me it is what the artist talks about and conveys to the listener that makes him/her a great artist. ShIit, I could sell a million albums while rapping about the sky and ice cream, but would that make me a great artist? Maybe, that depends on if what I rap about matters to the individuals who listen to my music. But sometimes you have to look past record sales and listen to the music itself to determine if an artist is great or not. Numbers do not make a person great.

To each his own. I am not saying you listen to bad music or are a bad person. To you record sales make an individual great, and that is fine, but I think your idea what makes someone great is twisted. I only urge you to reevaluate your definition of a great artist.
