Re: Headphones that rock?
Skull candy is crap. They might sound nice for a bit, but the construction is garbage.
Get these: Sennheiser HD280 Pro Headphone reviews - CNET Reviews
Basically the same price range, except Sennheiser has better quality and technology. And these bump too, not as loudly, but its a better quality bass.

Re: Headphones that rock?
Grado SR-60s, Sony MDR V6s for full size headphones. Skull candy is terrible, Bose is only moderately better, but still overpriced. Denon C500 or C700, Etymotic Er-6i, and lots more for in ears.

Re: Headphones that rock?
The Best Buy by my house has a demo station for the Dr. Dre Monsters around ears, and they have some serious bass and are super comfy. They are also noise canceling. Only problem is that they take some bucks.... check your Best Buy

Re: Headphones that rock?
Wow...
First time in a "Headphones" topics that I dont read tons of bullshiit all over the thread about how good bse and skull candy are
Nothing to add, everything has been said! Any of those headphones are great, I personnally prefer Mdr-V6, but any other mentioned is great

Re: Headphones that rock?
Bose actually makes great headphones. Definitely overpriced, but they are miles ahead of skull candy. Once you get in the pricier range they are good.
-
Re: Headphones that rock?
But you can get far better headphones that Bose for the price, at any price point.

Re: Headphones that rock?
IF you want to invest in true hi-fi headphones AND want the thumping bass, my suggestion would be:
Beyerdynamic DT880 which now comes in a 32ohm version.

I had the first gen, which sounded pretty good, but the cord was bad. Then the second had a much sturdier cord/plug, but sounded worse.

Re: Headphones that rock?
I second the sennheisers
I have the eh 150s, and they have a really clear and deep bass. I love them, I got my friend to get them and he got the 550s. If you're using them on the move, I say you go with the 150's or a similar type, they're more portable and block out more sound
You can get them cheap at amazon

keighton, you really need to be more specific if you want a more accurate answer, rather than 50 different possible headphones.

For $20, Marshmallows are better IEMs.

Re: Headphones that rock?
Koss Porta Pro's , 70 AUD, lifetime warranty, awesome sound quality, solid construction, only issue is they don't fit under my helmet...
