For the time being, there will no longer be any discussion of religion or politics in any forum, including Anything Goes. Or was it Almost Anything Goes? Maybe I'll change the name.
No problem for me Marcus. I need to keep my flow on the light side from now on, I'm getting too old for that stuff! The older I get, the more irrelevant all that stuff is to me. I know my path and don't feel like sharing or arguing it with anyone, anyway. Sorry it came to this though. Too bad some folks just don't get it...

Even though I am guilty for inflamming a few of the arguements that caused this, I would like to know what the punishments are, just so I have it in the back of my head in case I fell like shooting my mouth off again.
Well, after 5 or so months of having an open discussion forum on the Mauiline website, I can better appreciate what Marcus has to work with here.
Myself? I can let pretty much anything fly on my forum and it doesn't compell me to stop it or take it down.
Marcus has a different view of this, and has provided a forum free of, shall we say, heated political discussion.
There is an irony here. I was rather disappointed at first when Marcus put the brakes on... I was very much against it! I labeled it censorship but it inspired me to build an anything goes forum on my site that has it's own niche.
Some people log on and rant like hell, then they calm down and it's cool. Others log and take advantage of the fact that one can "swear" on my forum (of which you are made aware the first time you log on) and they go off with the F word and others like crazy for a while, then they quit using it so much.
Honestly, I hope I have provided a place for the kind of discussion that can be controversial, so that Marcus doesn't have to impose a heavy admin hand as it were.
Anyway, I still like both forums, and they both have their place on the web.
