    Default Anybody just not have enough energy to get through the day?

    All school year I've been sleeping through most of my classes and I have no idea. Usually I had no problem and I was still able to get honor roll last quarter but its been getting pretty bad lately.

    I know everyone is gonna say "Just get more sleep" but I get plenty of sleep. I get about 8-7.5 hours of sleep every night which is more than most people at my school get but I'm still that kid that the teacher has to call on all the time because he's sleeping. Next people are gonna say to stop skating or whatever all day but I don't even do that! Skating and playing drums is all I want to do but I don't have enough energy for it because school sucks it all out for those short periods I'm awake!

    So yeah...I think I just don't have as much energy as the normal person and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it...I'm thinking maybe its the way I eat. I live with my dad and we usually eat pizza, chinese take out...nothing really good for you and I'm thinking not eating healthy is dragging my energy down. I tried energy drinks but I don't want to become dependent on them.

    So anyone have any tips or ideas? Because I'm getting really sick of putting the things I love aside just for some good grades. Thing that sucks the most is I wanna be a drum teacher or something when I grow up but as of late I just can't get around to practicing...

    Can you breathe clearly through your nose? If not, you could have sleep apnea. I did, and I didn't figure it out until I was over 30. I was snoring and waking myself up at night, and I didn't even know it. I was always tired, falling asleep in meetings.

    They had to straighten out my septum in my nose, and take my tonsils out. Hurt like hell, but now I sleep about 6 hours a night, and I am rarely tired now.

    Just a thought.

    ive noticed that i get really sleepy when coming home at like 4 but after dinner im fine, just eat more

    How do I tell if I have mono? I don't feel sick or anything...

    Oh boy! I remember when my neighbor got mono his grandma got him an n64!

    Oh, and I do eat in the mornings. Usually a bowl of cereal. Today was one of my worst days and I had apple pie AND fruit loops.

    It happened back when the n64 was the shizz. Man, as much as I hate going to school i hate missing it more because then I just have to make up more work...but mono would be an easy answer...

    thats not too much, for about a year id eat like a half pound of salami and melted cheese ever morning, good ****. nowadays i usually get mcdonalds and a pastry or two at school, fills you up good

    if you had a caffeine dependency and stopped it could be that
    but i think its your eating habits
    things with hydrogenated fat or trnasgat or some other things i cant think of really messe u up
    breakfast is literally the most important meal and dont screw ur life up with fruity pepples
    healthy food isnt the color of the rainbow
    me, ive been having tired issues too
    lots of enregy then at like 2:00 i crash, no clue what it is

    My appologies if I seem rude and too straitforward or anything, I am just trying to help out.

    Do you masturbate at night before you go to bed? I have found that if I masturbate before I go to bed, I wake up very drowsy, and I end up feeling tiered the next day.

    One thing to try to do, is to listen to the teacher, and understand what the teacher is talking about. Try to take what the teacher is talking about, and expand on it. Somehow apply it to longboarding, or something else going on in yourl life. For example, if your french teacher is talking about conjucating the verb Acheter (to buy), you can think, J'ai achete' un bon longboard (I have bought a good longboard.) Try that. That always helps me not fall asleep.

    And try getting a bit more sleep... But honestly. You know those extra 5 or 10 minutes that you want to sleep when your alarm clock goes off or whatever? Well, if you go to bed 5 or 10 minutes earlier, you just got your 5 or 10 minutes extra to sleep!

    One more thing. Insist that your father buy some better foods from the store or something. For example, every morning drink a dannon or fruit frusion smoothie drink. Eat a full healthy lunch at school with a minute made grapefruit drink from the drink machines. Get home and have a glass of water with a bannana and a stick of cheese or a powerbar or something. Then when you get hungry again, have some yogurt. At dinner, eat greened beans, lean steak, and mashed potatoes, and a glass of gatorade. That provides me with plenty of energy.

    I used to eat TONS of PIZZA, chinese takeout, and soda. That was ALL that I would eat. I slowly got fatter, and I sweated alot more. And I could not stay awake in school. I was dead in school actually, untill around 4:00pm when I would wake up. So yeah, change your eating habits, and that should help allot too.

    I find that when i start my mornings off with bong rips, i am usually tired,unmotivated, and completely out of it all day, so check and make sure you aren't doing that.

    its the amount of iron in ur blood. eat more things that are high in iron. my friend suzie had the same problem and went to the doctor and it seems that her iron was super low. now shes fine though, so eat more iron, and less junk food. also keep the caffine on the low side of ur diet.

    I too crash a lot in school...usualy round after lunch and first thing in the morning...and then at the very end....maybe skatardude has a point!
