(frankfurt american high school), class of 1986 , w/ the intention of seeking out old skate buds w/ 90% success, though not from this site. we're all now in our mid 30's or so. oh yah, skateboarding in general is in our blood still, as it is for most here on SF & about.

I first used my SN on another site. I made it up to make fun of this guy that was whining about being sick and asking how to get rid of his cold. I ended up continueing to use the name because it was as stupid and meaningless as many other SN's you see out there. Now I've used it so much that I just use it all the time on every board.

That's it. End of story. Nothing special or grand about the name i made up. It's just a name.

When I first signed on at the 'fish I wasn't exactly sure how a woman skater would be received. So I kind of 'adjusted' my name just a little so that gender would be less obvious at first.

After a while I realized that this forum was really quite gender friendly but by then my post count was up and I so I figured I might as well keep the name.

well i was at a lacrosse camp, and people started calling me X-Treme. then i told these people my name was matt, and they thought i said max, hence maxtreme. 307 is a cool #.

a better story is the one about my old screen name. oldbetsy21. i was a young boy, on my middle school band trip (theme park). well i met up with my friends skyler and papoo, and we went to get something for lunch. i got a pudding (remember that), and some other stuff and went to sit down. we were watching a horse race on T.V. and thought it would be funny if a horse was named old betsy. we realized anything could be called old betsy and had a good laugh. i finally got to the pudding and it was very impossible to open. i finally got it open after a good struggle, and ate it. we thought it would be funny if theres was a pudding named oldbetsy that no one could ever open. then a old cowboy came in and said "gimme old betsy". everyone gasped and crowded around. he got the pudding and in one mighty swoop of his arm, he opened it. everyone was amazed! how could a commoner open oldbetsy? he took one bite of the moldy pudding and fell dead on the floor. oldbetsy was not to be opened for a reason...

The first new guy I met in Highskool my freshman year was always too ****ed up to remember my name, heh.. good guy tho, and one time when callin me over just pointed at my cockflap & goes "CRASS!! get cher ass over here, man!" and introduced me to a few guys that became good friends of mine, and they introduced me & so on & so forth. Most people think its just coz i am rather crass most of the time.. but whatever.

Now unfortunately I've even gone into 3rd grade classes & the kids know my name or who I am.

ugh.. thats what i get for bein one of like, 5 punx in town.(Of corse VERY few people knows the guys thats been friends with Rancid forever & always has em in town. I always miss em when they're at Denny's tho.. i could go for a burger & kickin it with Lars again. Its be nice to meet the rest of the crew, too!)
