I made one, really simple, but it gets the job done.

if you ski, they help so much with the strength in your knees. i guess they help some for other stuff.

I thought about making one, decided not to.

A lot of schools have these things like balance boards, like a round board with a half of a wooden ball on the bottom about the size of a grapefruit, and you try and balance on it. There was a football player in our high school league a while ago, he could stand on that thing for as long as he wanted without letting the rim touch the ground, the whole time catching and throwing footballs from all sides.

He got a scholarship to U of Idaho haha.

There are two kinds of balance boards that I know that are out there ... the Indo Boards (the one with the wooden rollers on the bottom and the huge oval board), and the the Pivot boards aka Bongo Boards (the ones with plastic bouy things attached to bungee cords). I tried both and preferred the Bongo Board. When you fall the board doesn't fly. Great balance board. And they're so addicting! Strengthens your lower body in the legs.

    I love my Vew-Do longboard!

It's great for balance and strength and seems to improve skateboarding proprioception as well.

I built mine from a boudoir door and a PVC pipe with duct tape wrapped around it. I love it.

Yeah. It doesn't come with it.

It's just a display that they use to show the product.

    The Vew-Do is awesome though.

Are you serious? I don't have a balance board.. looking for something to place under the board of my shortboard for balancing.. Don't want to buy an expensive piece of equipment.

I tried both the Vew Do (Shortboard model) and the Indo, and I find the indo much more fun.

i dont see why anybody would spend money on one of those things when theyre so easy to make
