ok well heres the story, my friend eric longboards and his subsonic was stolen, so i found a board my friend was at the time selling for 10 bucks. (deck). so i bought that board for my friend as a gift, for temperary use untill he gets a new board. well about 2 weeks after i gave him the board i ask how it is and he replys, i gave it to my friend because he wanted it. so i take the board back. i actually use the board and now that he sees its an ok board eric wants it back. i tell him no then change my mind for 10 bucks, my moneys worth, he says no and then tells me that it was his to begin with. who do u favor in this story.

I think your friend Eric has some problems.
Your gesture has been very nice, but he didn't appreciate it. Bad.

In my opinion, you don't give away a gift a friend has given to you, even if it's not that good, if it is a heartfelt gift.
More, you don't claim back something you gave away pretending it's yours, because it's no more. On top of this, it's very childish.

Honestly, i don't know if i'd give him back the board, but for sure i'd give him away as a friend.

i dunno, this thread really hits home for me.

you see, one time, i gave a board to a friend of mine that i got from another friend of mine in a trade for a 1/2 pound of homemade beef jerky and an old tv guide with the cast of "what's happening now" on the cover, which is a total collector's item cuz that show sucked and most of the issues were thrown away. my second friend roade the board for like, 2 weeks, then gave it another kid to pay off a superbowl bet. so that guy rides it for a while, likes it, but found out he was moving to a farm in nebraska w/ nothing but dirt roads for 10 miles. so he's like, fu<k this, and trades the board to a friend of his for a jenna jameson porn tape and 1/2 a satchel of schwag weed. ok, that kid rode the board once, then goes out, gets hammered on jager shots and the rest of the schwag (a deadly combo to be sure), falls walking home, and breaks his collar bone, so he can't ride the board any more. then, he ends up giving it back to the kid who had it in the first place, in exchange for his sister's phone number (who's really hot). but the kid w/ the collar bone (who by the way, never even called the hot sister - PU55Y) didn't know that the board originally belonged to the hot girl's brother. i tell the guy who now has his own board back, that i either want the board or my old tv guide and the beef jerky. he says, i already ate the jerky, but here is your tv gude back. i say, dude that's not enough, give me your hot sister's phone number. he says, that's not fair, bec the other guy only got her number, and you got your tv guide back. he tells me he'll give me her email address and a picture of her in a bikini taken at the beach that summer. i say, ok.
