    Short answer: Trick question


    Long answer: He was born in Springfield, and that means we don't actually know for sure what state he was born in, although it is probably Ohio. (Think about it, they are a "Northern Kentucky Family" and Ohio is north of Kentucky, "Springfield - Oh hiya Maude!" is a clue)
