I have certain pairs of shoes where the laces constantly come undone, can anything be put on them to stop it?

Double knot. Or you could super glue the knot together?

Back in the 90s we swapped laces out for zip ties.. coz of too many griptape wear related breaks.

yeah, double knot. dont be a puss. you could also tie em with a blood knot or a uni to uni.

I dunno what material of laces you have, but I've def found that some of the fatter or puffier nylon laces tend to come undone quicker than the flat laces.
Perhaps replace them.
