my sister needs a laptop backpack for easy college commuting on a bike. anybody have any ideas about something fairly roomy for an architectural student and a pocket for a nalgean bottle.

i know you nerds are reading this, so gimme some suggestions.

how about dakine, they make a lot of nice packs. i use their skiing/snowboarding ones, but they make laptop backpacks as well... all good stuff

if she wants to go with a messenger bag which might be more comfortable for biking, chrome is a good choice. they have a few laptop bags but i'd prefer to go with their normal messenger bags an add the separate laptop sleeve.

(i've tried timbuk2 bags, but they don't stay put while biking as much as i'd like and the strap is not nearly as well padded, even with the strap pad attachment)

Oakley. It's bulletproof and most styling.

i checked out the timbuk2s. yeah, theyre rad and all but theyre pretty small backpacks. and my sister has a bigass dell, so it wont quiet fit into a timbuk2.

gots to stay away from the messengerbags, she messed up her shoulder riding my voodoo. planted her feet instead of running it off... yeah, pavement vs shoulder action, shoulder lost because pavement has +6 defense.

if you've got something to say about messenger bags... say it anyways, i'm lookin' for a bag for my soph. year at college.
    tired of a backpack.
ideally with a computer slot, but i can just get a sleeve for it.
