    rockin'!
i met a barrister in london (when delivering files to courts) who had set up and was funding an anti caravan club. he protested against them holding him up on the roads... he was a loon. he'd designed his own tie (which he was wearing) and was constantly writing letters to national newspapers... to tell the trutth the tie was about the extent of the club... he squawked something about 'any club with a tie is a real club' and he used to call me a 'whippersnapper', wild times =)

i thought you might have uprouted that house you wanted to buy sniff. the one from the attack of the tripods, i'd like to see a photo of that on wheels being towed!

    BOOM!
First free skateboard of 2010! Rayne Avenger. It pays to come in third in the B class.
    Snagged a few t-shirts too.

I was in the Texas Sizzler slalom race this past weekend. I came in 3rd in the B class for hybrid slalom. That deck was my pick from the swag pile when I got my trophy. Couldn't pass that up.

I haven't even thought about that yet. I got to try some of those Surf-Rodz trucks. I'd love to have a set of those to put on it. Sadly I just got hammered with a ton of bills that have to be paid a lot sooner than originally discussed. So I guess some Randal 180's and In Heats?

So yes. Think positive, go compete, go skate, go talk smack on the internet and free skateboards can happen to you.

So I went on a little mini vacation. It was all rockets and Vulcan (the Roman god not the planet, nerds). Pretty cool. I got a pic of Vulcan's shiny metal a.ss too.

Just when I come to gloat about an actual free skateboard...

Oh! I forgot about this thread. Halloween...what was it, 2009? I was at at pizza joint, and in the parking lot, I found a G&S Billy Ruff board!

    Fo' Frizzle!

Anyway, are animated avatars still allowed here? I was thinking of making a new avatar.

Also, the "new thread" timeout needs to be lengthened...That's how I miss this thread, because I always check my subscribed posts (this is one of them), but by the time I reach the bottom of the list, it's no longer counted as a "new thread," so it's not on my list anymore. But, that's a gripe for the "site issues" thread.

I'm slowly building up a couple setups inspired by the Gravity Games...boy those were fun to watch. It's actually kinda interesting looking at the trends and fads in longboarding "back then" and seeing them repeat nowadays. Take, for example, standup slides. They had gloved-slides back then, but it was illegal to put hands-down during races, so a lot of dudes in the late 90's and early 00's really took to the stuff that's called "freeriding" now. Some of the old videos I've found on youtube put the newer stuff to shame! So far, I've got a Dregs Race, and a TVS board with red Kryptos...Unless I can sell off a few of my other boards, I'm putting a hold on buying new boards for now. But, I do like the idea of finding an old S9 Race or Bombhills board (since some dudes rode chopped Bombhills's in the G-Games).

Speaking of games, I had a DVD of the X-games, when they had luge and Tony Hawk's 900. Unfortunately, it broke, and I can't find another copy anywhere.

Speaking of DVD's, I'm still looking for Concrete Cowboys on DVD.

    Whew.

I've still got a TVS board. The Yancey Meyer Death Pod. I like it in parks and pools and ramps and for sliding. I've been riding that board forever. And I got a Dregs Alpine (the big brother of the race) I haven't ridden it in a long time. Might sell that one off. Or I'll make a rain board out of these two decks. Long wet road slides are so much fun.

TheGravity games kind of kicked me back into downhill riding. I used to wait for the Gravity Games to come around every year on tv just so I could watch the downhill skating.

I've got the TVS Lady Cruiser...same shape as the Fire Extinguisher, only topmount and no concave. It's a really damn fun board...super surfy with the truck setup I have. Although, it is inspired by Hardwicke's different setups, just for nostalgia's sake.

It took him a month to answer mine. The dude is staying busy.
Wonder what Matty is up to.
I was trying to look up some footage of me doing this big start ramp and came across all of leadfoot's little films. Those are still classic.
