the wallet is made of Texalium, a woven aluminum thread. Scott USA makes ski poles out of it, and I believe Steve @ Insect Longboards made a lightning bug with a texalium bottom sheet, as well.

I think Boeing might have something to do with CF price increases as well.

CF prices are driven by China, actually. They've been building so many dams and bridges (CF in the reinforcements) that they drove the prices up and available supply down like mad.

I remember seeing a pcture a CF stand-up bass, with a some kickass pinstripe job.
It was gnarly.
