Vancouver boys, need some help
So, I'm thinking about moving out that way. Tell me about it. How much does it rain there? Is it like Seattle? How far is Whistler? Are the chicks easy? How late are bars open? What sucks about it?

Re: Vancouver boys, need some help
I know ur looking for Vancouver guys, but I have been there for a little bit and I can tell you that it's a really awesome looking place. I obviously don't know anything about the above 21 shait....the chicks are hot though I could tell you that. The skating is obviously really killer and Whistler is like 2 hours away I think. I don't know how late the bars are open. lol.
They got a lott of weed to.

I know the Taxes are higher. It is cold and it snows, How can you see if a woman is hot if she is wearing all kinds of clothes to keep warm? You sould move to a warm climate, where the women wear less

Actually it doesn't usually snow in Vancouver. Mostly rain. Last year was a little freaky they got some snow....and in Canada the girls have all their teeth (tht's what the high taxes are for!), but maybe not in the BC bush...

Re: Vancouver boys, need some help
Vancouver's a pretty sick place to live. I don't know that much about the bar scene since I go to school/party in Victoria but I know it's pretty decent. I think most bars close at 2am, but last year they were allowing some to stay open till 4. Not exactly sure if that was just test or what.
The weather is awesome IMHO. Super temperate - the ocean keeps it from getting tooo hot or too cold. Summer is usually t shirt / shorts or pants weather for the summer days and maybe a thin hoodie for the nights. Whenever the weather gets below around 2C in the winter we bitch and complain, so if you're used to New York weather you'll think we're all pussies.
Rent is really really high though, that's the only downside of living in such an awesome place.
Vancouver's better than Seattle imho, because the downtown of Seattle is limited to the space between the freeway and the water. Maybe I'm just too much of a west-coaster, but the idea of having a freeway cutting through your city is just bunk.

hahaha yeah right, move to texas, hahaha. but seriously it probably snowed as much in vancouver last year as it did in texas, i believe we only had snow on the ground for 2 nights. vancouver is ridiculously sweet, with some of the most moderate temperatures in canada. i can skate in shorts in the winter and i can skate all day and night in the summer because it doesnt get to be 110 degrees so you dont boil yer nuts off. you can tell if a woman if fine just like any where else, its not like theyre all wearing parkas and toques, mabey in toronto, but not here
anyways dox it rains a decent amount but its really not that bad. our annual average precipitation is less than toronto so probably less than the eastern seaboard aswell. 2 hours to whistler but when they finish the highway repairs 1.5 hours, although you can get to ski hills on public transit or with a short drive. the women are hot and theres lots of them, it seems like most hot chicks from the rest of canada end up moving here. bars are open until 4am on the granville strip but those clubs are bogus, most decent bars actually worth going to are 1am and 2am.
what sucks: no freeways, but #### a car you dont need one.
whats good: 43 skateparks in the lower mainland, and a good number of them are actually worth hitting. good public transit. ghetto slice pizza, lots of skateboarders/longboarders its about 50/50 unlike most places

Re: Vancouver boys, need some help
Vancouver is alright. I haven't ever been there during the day, so I can't help ya much. I do know, for a fact, that the girls there are definitely good looking, almost as good as the girls where i'm from. (i'm from a mostly Dutch commujnity, if you're into Leggy, Athletic blondes, you'd love my area)
But yeah, I recommend visiting it a number of times before you move, obviously

Oh Man! waiting on East Hastings for the 135 Night Bus to go back to SFU was hilarious!!! sooo many Zombies and you always know why the bus comes to a complete stop in the middle of the road!
The Longboard scene is amazing although mostly concentrating on DH. Worldwide is keeping the slalom alive and growing. Park and Vert is one of the best in Canada!
the girls i cant say much....I'm from Montreal; Home of North America's most beautiful women! Hehehe all i have to do is speak french and the girls just flock to me...except for asians that dont understand me AT ALL!
Vancouver is full of Ontarians and Asians
Whistler is packed with Quebec chicks. Most montrealers avoid Whistler when they need to leave the province to learn english!
The Bud in Vancouver is cheaper than cigarettes, but IMO it was kinda weak. Although once again i'm biased coming from Quebec...

Re: Vancouver boys, need some help
My big concern I guess is the rain. It rains too much for me in Seattle. Someone told me that Vancouver doesn't get as much rain, for some reason. They had some kinda explanation. I just want to move somewhere I can skate a lot and snowboard. Salt Lake City is really the best for that. But I've spent enough time there. I'm not too worried about rent. I live in NYC. But I'd love to live somewhere with a kick'n longboard scene and snowboarding close by.

That was good for a laugh. Ah..... I'm still laughing. No, they don't do it for me. I think I might just go back to Salt Lake. The mountains are 15 minutes to the top. The University of Utah has the longboarder lift. And the city is full of sick ass steep, well paved roads. But who knows. It all depends on what I'm offered.
