A longboard game
I think it would be pretty cool if they made a longboarding game sort of like THPS or an online game where you could hang out with people across the nation and go to realistic spots and have cops and stuff in it. Basically if you're tired, injured, it's raining, or you just don't feel like actually going out and skating then you could get online and bomb some virtual hills with some dude who lives thousands of miles away. I thought it would also be cool if you could learn how to do stuff slowly sort of like in online games like WoW or everquest, and the better you are at something the more hills you can go down without falling off, and you could do dancing, sliding, and carving. It would be cool if they had the boards you could buy up to date and you had to like enter competitions to earn money for them until you get sponsored or something.
Just a thought. Will never happen though.

kickflippers?
at some level it'd be cool to have a DH racing game that also had side aspects like sliding and boardwalking...
BUT on the other hand, i like my culture the way it is...NOT IN A GAME.

I like the idea....
Had a project long time ago to do a street luge game...
Did some tracks on 3ds, did a rider and some luges...
We wanted to call it S.L.U.T.
for Street- Luge Unlimited Tournament...
Stayed as a project

Re: A longboard game
well the most feasible thing i can see would be like a longboard in grand theft auto
as far as racing goes...it's totally feasible to have a super-realistic DH game, like based off a motorcycle racing engine (like tourist trophy on ps2). in fact, i've been plotting out controls and stuff for dh in my head, using the TT engine (which is a motorcycle adaptation of the gran turismo 4 car engine).
i mean, using the TT engine you could simulate speed wobs, unstability, drift in corners...you could have a sliding mode and all that too...customizable tucks (already a feature in TT), customizable boards (swap out all the parts)
this has been discussed before (see philosophical skate question 2), and i said that it would be GREAT for the sport, if we could get the smaller/less mainstream companies involved (CLB, earthwing, kebbek, etc.) but that would never happen unfortunately...cuz small companies can't pony up the big bucks like suctor9 and dregs can.
yes, an uber-grippy, square-lipped slalom wheel IS the best for sliding

Only feasible if it is hard and on the Wii. Otherwise it would be too easy and boring.

Re: A longboard game
A longboarding MMORPG would be... horribly boring.
All MMORPGs center around grinding, levelling, training, or whatever you call it.
I can't imagine doing one slide 100,000 times to gain a level of proficiency at it. Ugh.

Re: A longboard game
wii fit maybe. but alot of people really don't want longboarding to go mainstream, don't get me wrong alot of people do, but a lot of people don't.

Exactly what I was thinking.
A carving/cruising/sliding game would be kinda dumb though.

Re: A longboard game
in my opinion video games are meant to enable you to do somethin you cant or wouldnt be able to do in real life ya know like blowing zombies heads off in a post-nuclear-apoclyptic world
i mean why go button mashing, when you can just skate

Fair enough. But in real life, you can't purposefully go insanely fast and smash into things for fun without any consequences, or pull off 50,000 pt combos
