    Default all about skateshoes!

I have a pair of vans slip ons, and after 4 months of good skating, its ripped up everywhere.

i'm looking to grab a new pair and was just wondering... how are the adiddas gazelles for skating? i want something comfortable, with great board feel, and sturdy.

also, any good sites i can check out for good shoes? thanks!

2nded the starbury. if you can find a "dealer" near you, the price can't be beat. quality is pretty good (i've had a pair of the surfsides for a few weeks - a little rippage around the upper. sole is still good, but havn't taken it out for any heavy footbreaking yet).

iPath is awesome for comfort and style. Actually, i was thinking about picking up some Dharmas for comfort wearing.

Don't give up on the Vans. They gave us duct tape for a reason. I ripped thru mine and I just duct tape them back up. Works fine. $40 for some new shoes or $4 for a roll of duct tape. The duct tape comes in many colors now too.

Also you can get suede slip ons. They last much longer.

most boobs are good in their own way.

tight trucks are like little boobs, which are fine if youre into them, but too small of boob and you end up with non turning trucks, loose trucks save lives thing.

loose trucks are like big boobs, great as long as you have enough rebound in your bushing/firmness in the boob.

and trucks with worn out broken down bushings are like grandma boobs/fried eggs hangin on a nail situation which is never good.

Stick with the Vans. No doubt. I've been burnin' pairs of them since the early 80's; And with all the abuse they get they always last for at least a year before they become sneaker #2 (sneaker for mowing the yard and other odd jobs). I've tried other brands, but I keep going back. But those slip on thing-ies... I don't know. Never was a fan. I always think of "dudes" with pastel Le Tigre shirts wtih the collar up.
