iPod Touch

Anyone have one? Thoughts about it?

Im about to get a new iPod tomorrow and am wondering which one you guys have?

Anyone have the touch and thought on it or any other new iPod?

I think the iPhone completely pwns the iPod Touch.
I'd just get a new nano.

I want one but not enough extra spending cash atm. Its perfect for me. Its an iphone minus the phone which is perfect.

The thing that attacts me most is the wifi. Ive been looking for a wifi phone for awhile (I was looking at the cingular 8525) and then the iphone came out. I didnt like the idea of music player plus phone cause if the battery dies, youre double screwed.

Then came the ipod touch. Has all the functions I want and doesn't require me to buy a media plan or use up my phone battery when listening to music. Sooner or later I think Im gona get myself one.

edit: And its thinner than an iphone and thinner than my current 30gb ipod video. yum.

I wish it had an sd expansion slot cause 16 gb is tiny for a video/music player. Course then again Im in the market for hd space not a novelty touch screen (even it multi-touch is super cool, the price increase isnt worth it for me).

I say get the classic ipod cause its cheaper and you have the option for a lot more space which is a bigger deal if you want to use the video function or have lots of music. Unless internet is that big a deal to you.

i have had my iTouch for about 3 1/2 weeks ( i got it from an early shipment at bestbuy) and it is seriously amazing. I post on the fish all of the time on it, when i am in bed or away from my computer and its a breeze. The video is amazing too. And they just hacked it so you can add more apps to it! buy it man, you wont regret it.

I dont get the Apps thing, like I got on one the app websites and its just the game, like no where to download it to my ipod touch, how do I do this!?

thats exactly what i do, no joke. You can always tell im on SF on my iTouch because my spelling is a little off. I have probly posted about 100 times on my itouch.

iphone.beejive.com is a website where u can actually go on aim on your iphone/itouch and i use that everyday

O I understand, but thats why I avoid that. Besides all Id use it for is proving my friends (or often myself) wrong with the help of wikipedia.

My friend got an Touch for himself on his birthday and it is amazing. Super slim, and the wifi capability is shweet. I don't need the phone capability of the iPhone, so the touch is the perfect combo for me. I don't want to pay 50 bucks extra a month for phone stuff when right now i already have a super cheap phone.

Iphone = SUCK

one drop = cracked screen

cracked screen = $200 dollars just to replace the glass on the front, not even the screen

think about it...

longboarding + iphone = reach deep into those pockets

im assuming its the same for the touch?

Actually, I watched a video on youtube where a guy was dropping his iphone on concrete and nothing cracked, broke or scratched. He did it multiple times too. He also took a sett of keys and tried to scratch the screen but it wouldnt scratch. I held an Iphone the other day and it seems pretty solid to me.

I don't need an iPod Touch to do that. Laptops have been around way longer.

i dont know why you would want the touch, there's no mechanical volume control without going HOME and then adjusting it. An MP3 player that you can't adjust volume from in your pocket? uh...

I have played with an iphone, pretty cool but I'm not one of those socially inept people who have withdrawals when they can't check myspace. I'm still using a cellphone from 2004.
plus I would need bigger storage. Seems the only thing going for it is the internet access which I have on my nintendo DS.

I just saw the new zune 80s and I think I might be getting one depending on the first reviews. DRM free software, big GLASS screen, physical navigation buttons + touch pad, radio, non-itunes music manager... reported lighter and thinner than ipod classics

Give the iRiver Clix a look. It doesn't have the wifi stuff but it's got basically everything else. Better sound than any iPod too, which doesn't mean the iPod sounds bad ... just that iRiver is better.

I have an iPod 3rdG and I love mine, although it's getting kinda long in the tooth.

I have an iPod and I love mine, I am actually in the market for a new iPod ... probably a Nano.
