I don't know why I feel this way, if I was good friends with any Muslim kids way back, or because my brother's Muslim friend is probably my favorite person in the world, meh I dunno.

I think that being prejudice of any race is no worse than the other. Like, I think that being racist of blacks is just as bad as mexicans, etc...

I wouldn't put people on pedestals saying, "This is bad, but THIS, this is REALLY bad." If you're against racism you should be against it as a whole imo, not just specific parts. Not saying anyone who disagrees is racist or anything.

Yeah all racism is bad. But jokes like talking about how black people like fried chicken or whatever isn't as serious because it usually holds up, and it isn't saying that black people want to kill other people, it's just talking about freaking chicken. Also, it isn't all as hypocritical and/or as serious as this. "Oh the Middle East hates us! They're going to kill us!" - "See the dude wearing a turban? Yeah, he's a total terrorist." - "Kill the Infidel!"
That's pretty much the sequence of hypocrisy.
People constantly make racist jokes about stereotypes that aren't even true, then they get scared because #### happens and "Muslims hate western culture"
It's like ####### Columbine, you bully someone around they're whole life, they get sick of it and bring a gun to school.

You were to young to remember 9/11. what 5 or 6. I make middle eastern jokes to middle easterners. I make all kinds of jokes and remember all jokes are at someones expense. Call me racist, I am not a fan of any religious zealot. And remember most middle easterners here are here, not there. There is a different story.

I remember it clearly. I just wasn't old enough to understand the politics happening. What I was really getting at in my last post was going back to the crusades, and the superior "Bitch, you wanna **** with me???" attitude that most Americans have. It finds it's way over there and they see it.

i remember it all to well... #### went so terribly wrong on 9/11 as me and my best friend at the time were on a field trip to Arlington national cemetery and we watched the pentagon get hit... later to find out his mom was on that plane,, on a business trip. I was the one who had to tell him. i was 13 he was 12

I remember it clearly. I just wasn't old enough to understand the politics happening. What I was really getting at in my last post was going back to the crusades, and the superior "Bitch, you wanna **** with me???" attitude that most Americans have. It finds it's way over there and they see it.

Here's a little more historical perspective for ya: We've been fighting radical Islam in the middle east since the beginning
of the US. The "Bitch, you wanna **** with me?" attitude stems from when we were about the only player in the world
to refuse to pay 'tribute' to keep Islamic pirates from plundering our cargo ships in the Mediterranean. Instead, we fought
them off and refused to capitulate--unlike most of Europe.

This lead to the historic coup in Tripoli--our nation's first known black op. I do mean black op--you wanna talk
deniability? The pres gave permission and a letter of introduction to this dude who wanted to try and rescue a
bunch of sailors being held hostage. No money or anything--and a promise to let him twist in the wind if he got
caught or failed.

But the attitude of the 'Ugly American', that I blame on Woodrow Wilson.
