seirously, most of you guys joined within the last 6 months, you are still all new and you are all saying stuff like "back in the day when I joined..." FYA. thats why I dont come on this site much anymore. it used to be that EVERY thread you clicked on had something of value in it... what the hell man... lets seriously ban everyone that didnt join before last september and then not allow anyone to join EVER!!! haha

I only joined last Sept or Oct I think and I know I'm pretty new around here. It's weird though, I even notice a difference from when I first joined. There's a lot more flaming, a lot more "What should I buy?" and less "Man I'm so stoked about _______" posts. It's kinda unfortunate. The forum content used to be better. It's kinda too bad that's it's taken this direction.

I loved this site a lot more a year-and-over ago. You are all right. Everyone was more stoked about longboarding back then, and everything did have a lot more value. I felt like back then that SF was one big stoked family, but now it's really just a dysfuntional community of nubs and post whores starting threads that already are multiple in existence about the same exact thing, and what to buy for their new Dervishes.

Meh, maybe it's a cycle and we will return to the way it used to be at some point

Those are the threads that really piss me off because there is literally a new thread every other day centered about what trucks to get for a dervish or what wheels slide best. I don't mind people posting redundant things because sometimes they can lead to new aspects of a seemingly dead topic but seriously hasnt the dervish and slide wheel info been taken care of???

I understand that these people are new and most don't really know much about what to buy, but you really can't go very wrong. I mean, just get a set of randals for your dervish and gumballs. It will ride fine. It's really not likely that someone is going to ask to buy Randal DH trucks and stick them on the dervish. Everything these people suggest will work fine. Skate, get stoked, improve.

If you just read and search on this site you will find almost every question you have has been answered at some point in time.

I've got a year on you, and I disagree.

Not really though, you basically hit the nail on the head. The nub to abuser turnaround used to be much, much longer. Now its like 3 months. Hell, some people never turned into abusers, just more intelligent nubs.
