Good times, I love pawn shops. Pentax Super Program w/ 28mm f2.8 and 50mm f1.7, two flashes, autowinder, and grip... $30. So far it's working, gonna test it out at the bar.
Loving all the work in this thread, keep it up, you're inspiring me again.
If you are interested in any of the photographers' work that I have posted here, I believe I have most of their contacts. They are shots of me and my band.... really sick shots by really talented people, in my opinion. That last one won some big award, congrats Sarah!! I like that we're all sharing... I see that there are some very talented artists posting!
i like the fervency of this photo BUT that big red streak is INCREDIBLY distracting and makes the photo seem hackneyed, and i cant figure out what could have caused. anybody have any ideas?

so im in a photography class, using 400 b/w film, we develop our negatives, develop the contact-sheet, useing enlargers in the dark room we fine focus our choosen photo then devlope those, its really a cool expericnce working with the fliters and exposure times during development, we also used some sepia toning,
i have a pretty nice macro of a cactus i took in sepia tone
ill upload somtime

shooting with some 10+ years past expiration film i found last year. some of the shots came out ridiculously grainy where the next picture taken 10 seconds later, with no adjustments to speed or f stop, is not at all, plus it has some other cool/weird effects it does randomly.
I think you mean emulsion? Expired film can do weird things. It's either really fun or really frustrating, depending on if you remember you're shooting expired or not.
I got to bust out the Pentax yesterday. It has a weird takeup spool, but I thought I got it on right. I shot a whole roll of film yesterday, only to realize that the takeup spool wasn't hooked in properly and I had actually taken zero shots.

easily done. most, if not all, of these SLRs have the film reel connected to the rewind spool on the top of the camera. If you've got it hooked in right the rewind spool will move when you wind the film onwards, if it doesn't then film load FAIL.
