Mate, totally gutted for you about the Pentax! That's really bad news.
Are those cross processed shots scans of the neg or prints? They don't look cross processed at all to me. Strange.
So a quick photo story...
So I live in Bristol, UK and it's pretty much compulsory to go to the Museum and see the Banksy exhibition. It was raining really hard and everyone was getting really wet.
Even in the pouring rain the queue was an hour long. I spent a lot of time just listening to my music and looking at the floor. Too be honest I spent far too long staring at the shoes of the couple in front of me. She had these awesome pointy boots with this huge army jacket and this crazy purse, a definite 'do'. He said he snowboards and longboards and is sponsored by Never Summer, so maybe he reads SF. I don't know, I didn't ask.
I think she spotted me taking photos of her feet and we got chatting and I took a photo of her, this is right at the end of the queue.
Despite waiting an hour, this is the only proper photo I took of any 'Graffiti'. It was very crudely done just at the end of the queue. Made me laugh.
I took one photograph inside the exhibition. Everyone was taking pictures all around me, made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Try to spot how many people are taking pictures in this picture
When I got home I went into my upstairs toilet for the first time in ages, it seems we've left the window open so long that the vines on the back of the house are now growing inside

Lexx, they are the scanned negatives. Some shots did come out in oddly normal colors, it was bizzare... others have a ridiculous blue tone to them. I don't claim to understand, all I know is I handed the guy a roll of slide film, convinced him it wasn't slide film (scratched out the E-6), and he ran it through the regular color machine.
The only news I have on the Pentax is that I know who it is in the hands of. I have no doubts about getting it back but I still worry about how it is, haha.
Some shots from my favorite establishment.
Pete, Carvin, Lexx, great stuff.
I am a camp counselor this week so there will be loads of pics next week.
a guy from okinawa who longboards inspired me to work on hdr. he does great stuff. his names nate. he does amazing work and i want to get as good as him. heres a pic of one of his:
he has inspired me to do hdr. so here is one of mine i did last night, still tryin to work out the kinks

That's funny man. If it was scan from print It wouldn't surprise me because you can color correct back to 'normal' with a bit of patience.
Cross processing is hit and miss and different films come out differently.
These are from our staff night out, the top two are provia100 and the three really funky ones are out of date velvia100. All shot on a minolta point and shoot compact camera I found
oh yeah, these are scans right from neg to CD with our lab machine - not my nikon coolscan

Some moar poor mans macro (reverse lens technique)
And I have a question maybe some of you more professional photographers on here would like to help me with. And by "professional" I mean, has sold some of their work before.
Basically, where can I sell my photography? I mainly want to sell locally (don't wanna hassle with all the shipping, fees, etc..
I was also thinking mainly prints. I know about stock, but it sounds...meh?
Gift shops? Coffee shops? Ask the library to showcase some of it (I know theyve done this before) Any other ideas, tips, advice?

Re: official photography thread
I know that my gf posts her stuff on smugmug.com and i'm pretty sure it has a set up so that people can buy prints of your work, as for the "big" sales, i'm not so sure lol
and i have a Cannon Powershot A75, which while looking over an old photography mag while on my ex's sh!tter, said was one of the better beginner digi cams for photography...
so... am i retarded or are they wrong? i can never get it to do a damn thing i want.
except this... i like this coz i think it looks dope and i have no idea really what im doing.. just played with exposure & stuff.
