Also got myself a Nikkor 18-200mm VR. Lighting equipment on the way from MPEX and probably getting a nikkor 50mm f/1.8 when I get my paycheck ha

taken on an old phone and editted on photobucket by a friend (only editted pic, everything else is raw with some different setting)

taken on my cousin's camera with some twilight setting i believe

lastly, pictures taken on casio exlim?

I miss this thread too, but I haven't had much I've really felt was worth posting. I've been slacking a little lately, but two weeks ago I did end up going to NYC to practice street photography. Tomorrow I am working on portraits with a friend.

If you really feel like following, you can always check out my Flickr (in my sig) or my blog... but it hasn't been very exciting.

a mushroom i found. took a pic at a bunch of different exposures in an attempt to get an HDR result, it turned out alright, but not the best. CLICK!

edit: i think the peices of grass in front and the piece of bark to the left steal your eyes away from the subject. thoughts?

I like to have several things steal my eye. It forces one to really look all over the pic.

And the opposite of this, is to focus on something minor like grass, but the intensity of another item or event in the pic will take your eye away.

Like this one, I'm trying to get a picture of this bird standing on the pier. A big Crane. He is blurry. But he is the meaning behind the photo.
