I took the family up north for a little camping over the extended weekend. I took my speedboard along. There's some big hill hills up that way. On Saturday morning I found a nice long one. It was a two lane country road where the speed limit is 45. I figured I'd break that, but it tunrned out to be slower than I thought. It starts out steep, but then mellows. So you pick up speed quickly, but only for a short time. Then you just kind of ride it out. According to my Garmin the hill was .7mi long and my top speed was 37.3. It was still kinda exciting because about 2/3 of the way down there was a great big crack that ran from edge to edge. My wheels are just 76mm Flywheels and I was afraid that crack would swallow 'em up. So I was kinda nervous as I approached the 1st time. I air-braked a little and bounced over it OK. I took a few more runs air-brakng as required. My daughter tried to make me feel better and she said I mighta gone faster if I didn't have to air brake for the crack, but like I said, you pick up all the speed on the top part of the hill then coast the rest of the way, so I really don't think that mattered.

Over all - it was a really fun weekend with perfect weather for camping. In addition to the skate adventure, there was also canoing and bike riding and big campfires. Didn't burn any boats though.

uhm i went on a 5 hour car drive, saw a snake, stayed up for 24 hours straight, watch the lizzie mcguire movie, hairspray and ace ventura when nature calls, wnet to pizza hut ] and hung out with multiple chicks

I went to LA, skated the Knapp Ranch ditch and bruised my elbow so bad it hurts to move it at all, and taught my son how to swim. We watched fireworks visible from the ranch and slept in. Good enough for me!

went to santa cruz, drank alot of beer, skated, stayed in the girls common room at a christian camp, went to the beach, finally finished a grand slam at Denny's,....i had a good ass time. best 4th in a long time

I saw The Wailers, Keller Williams, Yonder Mountain String Band w/ John Fishman, Widespread Panic, Primus, and the Pnuma Trio. Yeah, it was one hell of a day.
