Re: It didn't take long (TdF)
I'm a rabid cycling fan and I do about 30 races a year myself, including two this weekend. This TdF bust is bad and it's one step closer to Armstrong. FOUR people from his days with Postal and Discovery have now been busted: Heras, Hamilton, Landis and, now, Beltran. And one, Frankie Andreu, admitted juicing when he was racing with Postal. Regarding this Tour, there is also word that TEN other riders are under investigation for irregularities in their results from tests administered during the week prior to the Tour's start. It's gonna get heavy this weekend when they release the names.

Re: It didn't take long (TdF)
you can totally get dope outa your system within a few short days. ive done it for jobs. it is really simple. PM me if you need to know how.
Blue stickers are only given to the select few people to suck adam coltons balls, and do it skillfully enough to give him blue balls. Thus resulting in the giving of the rare Blue Loaded Sticker.

Yeah, not too surprised though.... But I`m still positive that some day TdF will be clean..
And I follow it every day, Thor Hushovd rocks

It's ugly, for sure. I keep thinking of the doperssuck.com tagline, "cheat, cheat, never beat."
I really wonder if Pantani's death was due to something other than cocaine.

Re: It didn't take long (TdF)
He was part trainer, part dietician, part doctor and part pharmacist. Voet estimates that during the course of his career he spent at least half his time making sure cyclists had access to whatever their bodies required to perform at the highest level—fluids, vitamins, food, caffeine, cortisone, steroids, amphetamines, blood thinner growth hormones and masking agents to beat drug tests. Voet worked with some of the greatest cyclists in the world, including Ireland 's Sean Kelly and France 's Richard Virenque . He also saw firsthand just how pervasive drug use is at the sport's highest level. Masseurs, like people in most any profession, share information, so Voet has reason to believe that the teams he worked for were not unique.According to Voet, the overwhelming majority of the cyclists in the peloton (the lead group of riders) used illegal drugs. Those who didn't use them? "The back of the pack," he told SI in interviews at his home last month.

* I added the bold for emphasis *
The connection between drugs and cycling goes back a long way. The article is worth a read it is pretty interesting. It talks about things like cyclists keeping bags of plasma under their beds in case of surprise tests.

Re: It didn't take long (TdF)
i think i remember reading that armstrong did have some steroids in one of his first TdF's. but it was for his recovery from cancer.
anyone read his book? they tested him so much i don't think that he could have gotten away with it.

Re: It didn't take long (TdF)
That's a bummer.
I like how the team always"didn't know anything about his drug use" and distance themselves immediately. Total bullshit!
There were rumors about "Tricky" before he went Postal. No really too surprised.

its pretty much assumed that he wasn't. would you keep as many as 11 lawyers on retainer (at one point) to sue people for publishing anything suggesting you were doping if you had nothing to hide?

lol no kidding.... blood doping is seriously complicated, you can usually tell whos doping by the doctors they associate with. eg the italia team's surgeon who was a good friend and personal doctor of armstrong....

Re: It didn't take long (TdF)
Doping or not, you really have to be on something to wear Lycra as often as pro riders do.
I am always fascinated by the TdF. You still have to be in excellent shape, drugs just make sure you last long enough so can have a complete heart and kidney failure after you finish. Better still, winning the prize money pays for the surgery on both knees and hips. Dont get me started on the low semen count.

Re: It didn't take long (TdF)
Watching the Tour De France is about as boring as watching Nascar.
