For a School assignment I need to establish what the most popular type of retro surfboard is, because I am going to build a carbon fibre/epoxy/PVC foam board
Options are:
twin fin
80s retro thruster
pintail singlefin
egg
bonzer
whatever else you deem retro - i dont really care
as part of the design process we have to establish what is the most popular shape
thanks

Please keep me updated and post pictures if you can.
I also rode a Aviso Lost, my friend claimed it as his favorite and he went through Firewire, Bushman, Channel Island, Webber, Minami Infamy and I think a SDIII JC all non surftech. Aviso lasted longest and went through nearly 2 fin blow outs last one was when we were comming in after the sunset, he couldn't see where he was and ran dry. I think hes trying an Aviso Cole, hes hooked on the carbon fiber but feels guilty for the manufacturing process.
I'm a little behind in the current technologies but the last cutting edge tech was Coil boards from WRV heres a article on the tech behind the boards http://www.eastcoastsurfer.com/reviews/coil/index.html
Good luck, future shaper what coast are you living near?....I will gladly pay you for a custom once you feel comfortable with your work. Keep in touch, Aloha.
