I do indeed own a "park" board, and I indeed can kickflip, however will you ever find me doing a kickflip in the middle of a bike path in a park? no, that's stupid, I like to stick to more controversial areas like stairsets of hospitals! I honestly don't think that anyone would want to skate that path and do a kickflip there surely your city knows that people who skate street aren't attracted by that kind of terrain, so then maybe the sign wasn't placed there with the intention of not allowing "idiots that would sit there in the middle of the path doing kickflips" but it is there for some other reason..

I said i wasn't trying to affend anybody. Im just making the point that SHORTboarders are responsible for the irresponsible reputation we get. It's obviously not true yall are just out trying to have a good time. But doing tricks in front of hospitals isn't helping

the whole skater's getting a bad rep started with the idea that skaters were vandalizing property, and druggies
the people who created this reputation for skateboarders, are the same people that developed both longboarding and shortboarding.
SHORTboarders are not irresponsible for the reputation we get.
most of the shortboarders I know spend most of their time in a skatepark skating, no trouble to society
most of the longboarders I know are skating in public, and whatever bad habits they have are displayed to the public more than shortboarders because of this
