I don't/can't sleep
Anyone have any ideas on how to get to sleep easier? I start my first day of a new job in 5 hours and I need to ####### sleep. Every night, I can't sleep until 3 or 4 no matter how early I get to bed. Anyone else like that?

Go see a psychiatrist.
They'll be more than happy to prescribe you up with some drugs that will knock you the #### out.

Classic college insomnia. You have a delayed sleep schedule. Go a couple days without sleeping, and conk yourself out around 11pm, and your body will reset itself.

most important is to regulate your body to rest before you fall asleep. what i mean is get into bed and just lie on your back and relax your muscles close your eyes slowly and relax your mind as you are going for a mid day siesta and just drift to sleep. for people who suffer from insomnia you need to stop dooing drugs including: Caffeine, Alcohol, White Sugar ect... no stimulants needed. stay active outdoors and start a regiment of eating more Green Veggies, Onions, Garlic.. lots of water and try to keep the food raw and organic. Fruits are not that great for the first 2 months but Blueberries are an exception (in moderation). its a tough process but it works. young people only need 5-7 hrs sleep a night. its just healthier. adults 27 and up can make use of 5-8 but still it all depends on the persons activity level.
my mom told me even as a infant i never slept. so i still dont sleep much but i get my rest which is most important. mind over matter. be able to clear your mind.

Stay up until 8pm and wake up at 4, then stay up until 11pm and wake up at 7 and keep that schedule of 11-7

I don't go to college. In fact, I didn't even have to work until today.

i find that instead of the total, just stay up for long as possible then crash plan, doesnt work nearly as good as, say.. alright he's a perfect example. i stayed up till 6:30am reading HST the other night, fell asleep for two hours, then bolted outta bed, showered, shaved, and went fishing for a whole day. I wound up being completely tired by midnight. works much better, IMO. give it a try.
if you wanna do it to the letter.. when you go fishing dont catch anything, smoke a pack of cigs, dont eat all day till you break down and eat 4 jack in the box tacos and a gargatuan soda. top it off with a little internet and then go the fahk to bed.
