Dumped

My boyfriend of two years broke up with me last night. I dislike being the dumped. I enjoy being the dumper. I might have to take my little sister the Death Cab for Cutie concert. I paid so much for those freaking tickets.

It's a lot nicer being the dumper. Am I right?

Is it the clean cut, or the whole not being rejected thing?

My favorite band for like... five years. I saw them last year in Detroit... I was so far away from the stage. I joined the fan club this time for the presale. 18th in East Lansing. It's SUCH a good show. Really.

I've dumped a couple of times and it's marginally better than being dumped. I dunno, maybe I'm just a sucker, but I feel bad. Even if the stupid ####er annoyed the living hell out of me.

Being dumped is much, much easier. I can take a blow to my pride. But I can never live down dumping someone.

At certain times during the day I feel extremely liberated, but then I remember that I have an extremely hard time relating to people, and no friends because my only friend just decided that he didn't want to be my friend anymore. I guess the best thing to do is just pretend you don't care.

No pretending! Feel everything and come to terms with it. It sucks, but do it. If you stifle stuff, the next thing you know you'll be sniping people from a rooftop.

But why do you WANT someone else to be IN LOVE with?!? Just have sex with them. Its much healthier. You'll fall in love because you aren't an emotionally strong person yourself--most people do that--and then become part of that person. Then they dump you. So part of you dies. See?? its ####ed. Conquer yourself FIRST, then u will always be ok, so that you dont NEED someone else, so that if love does come you will appreciate it but not NEED it or let it kill you when it leaves. The combination of sweet music and sweet skating will totally remove any recollection of a crappy breakup from your memory.

Sleep with his sister, then tell him later that he turned you into a lesbian. Make sure you empahsize that he completely ruined any hope you had for the male gender single-handedly and that because of his suckiness at everything, you will never have anything to do with another man again.
