Default Dancing (Not on a longboard)

Hey everybody, I just started learning to swing dance and I must say it's a hell of a lot of fun. It seems like my generation has lost the feel for dancing. For the most part no one dances. Almost all forms of dancing are looked down upon besides hip hop. I have a large amount of respect for hip hop dancing, it is incredibly difficult, and takes a large amount of talent, I just don't understand why it is the only truly popular form of dance. Dancing has been kinda lost and labeled as "gay." This is a shame because dancing is incredibly enjoyable, and if anything, it's a great way to pick up girls. The local swing dance in my town always has around a 5 to 1 girl to guy ration. So, anyone else out there in SF dance? If so what kind and for how long?

I agree, I have respect for hip hop, but I mean, knowing how to swing/ballroom can get you so many girls.

I can do the basic Charleston step. You can do it out of closed form when swing dancing.
