I'm giving up again. Does anybody romanticize situations? It's like, when you were in 10th grade and you went to the mall and you had this weird idea in your head that something was going to happen. It may have just been me. It's kind of time to accept the fact that things aren't going to happen. Nobody is ever going to just come up and talk to me. My neutral face is not a friendly one. Just relax, and go with it. I could never find a girl while looking for one. All of my relationships happened as a result of me meeting a cute friendly girl while least expecting it.

I met my current girlfriend while playing hide and go seek at around midnight with some friends at UNM. Totally not looking for a lady, but it worked out. Actually, best relationship I've ever been in.

I think it depends on how your smiling. Is it a "I think I want to eat your liver with a little bit of white wine" smile, or a "I have had a pretty sweet day, and everything is going alright" kind of smile? I imagine all kinds of what if scenarios all day long. Like when I go the store, I pretty much have an internal daydream about meeting the woman of my life, and how we would talk and interact, (kind of creepy and sad, I know) even though it never happens, it helps keep my imagination alive.

Like I said before, everyone- male and female- needs to gain the courage to just get out there and talk to random people. the more you do it, the less scary it becomes. I got rejected by 7 women this weekend, and it sucks, but you get over it, realize it didn't cost you anything more than a couple of minutes, then you scope out the next person you want to talk to, and go.

good rule of thumb-5 seconds. If you see someone you might have the slightest interest in talking to, you have 5 seconds from the time you saw them, to go up and just strike up a random conversation. Anything more than 5 seconds, you will start to second guess yourself, and then psych yourself out of it. Or you look like some creep staring at a stranger, know what I mean?

Well, you've gotten to the point where you gotta decide if you're just doing it for fun or not. If so, is that worth the pain the one or both of you have to go through afterwards?
