Well, I can tell you, it doesn't matter how you look. If you can find the confidence in yourself to not care what others are thinking, people notice, and will respond to your personality, instead of looks... unless you're super hot, because then they just stop paying attention...
Looks matter, always. I'm shy, and my shyness goes away around people that are like me. I don't wear makeup, I hardly even try to get dressed. It's just easier.
i gave up on american women. they bitch too much. i got me a nice japanese girl now that can bearly speak english. it's pretty sweet. if i dont want her to hear something i just say it really fast and she can't understand. also i wake up in the morning to the sound of the washing machine going and dishes being washed in the sink. it's amazing. she is a sweet girl. plus she is a total hippy that rides a bike everywhere and smokes ganj. we have a winner.

That sucks! Atleast he's an ex-boyfriend and not current. Sounds like to many of the dudes that are out there, they give good guys a bad name.
As for your divorce kid thing, not true! my parents are split, and im fine apart from the usual crap here and there, so are a bunch of my friends. the most screwed up people i know, no wait not the most, but quite screwed up people, have happy family lives. No doubt divorce can screw kids up, but it definitely doesnt mess everybody. For example, my family is full of divorce, my parents, both of their parents, aunties and uncles, there's more unhappy then happy relationships, but im relatively normal and am in a good relationship with someone super cool (okay so her parents are together).
